Some professor use LockDown Browser as a means of taking quizzes in Canvas.

This means you don't go to canvas and you don't use the Canvas app.

You actually first go through the Lockdown Browser app, then login to Canvas.

This is Required!

You can install the Lockdown Browser App on your iPad here:

You can install the app on your laptop (if you plan to bring one to campus ---all students must bring their iPad, laptop is optional :

After you run the install

It will prompt you for your school

enter canvas.siprep.org

Next week when you receive your username and login information, you can use the following steps if your teacher has you complete a test in LockDown Browser:

Go to the lockdown browser app

login using your pw and username

go to the class that contains the Quiz that you want to take

then follow the same steps as you would when you take a quiz

IF YOU RUN INTO ISSUES with a FROZEN SCREEN when using LOCKDOWN BROWSER

let your teacher know

change the orientation of the iPad, flip it to vertical or horizontal

force shut down of your iPad, then turn it back on , go back to the quiz

make sure your iPad is up to date

make sure your lockdown browser app is up to date

Click on the title of the quiz you wish to take.

Quiz details, including if there is a time limit and how many questions there are will be displayed on this page. Click the "Take the Quiz" button to begin the quiz.

Complete the quiz per your instructor's instructions.
